Renaissance Hotel Presents-The Grey Path Pt 2

The Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel Gallery is pleased to announce The Grey Path, a solo presentation of photography and new media by Bodhi Grey.

The exhibition opens on Monday, October 1 in the hotel gallery and will be available for public viewing the entire month of October. There will be an artist meet and greet hosted Tuesday, October 23 from 7 to 9 PM. The Grey Path is the artist’s second exhibition with The Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel Gallery.

Bodhi Grey was first inspired to create The Grey Path series while traveling to pursue interests in backpacking and rock climbing. His travels across the country helped him to gain new appreciation of forgotten frontiers and inspired him to take the documentation of his travels to new heights. Bodhi’s work is often influenced by his personal interests. He seeks to incorporate the unique angles that are often confined to rock climbing and outdoor adventuring into his work.

The Grey Path features both traditional photography and experimental new media. The combination of these two mediums makes for a stunning presentation and has a unique sense of balance. “Sublime Summit” is a traditional piece that focuses on the natural beauty of a seemingly surreal landscape, while new media piece, “Urban Grapefruit”, seeks to explore the underlying energy in the heart of St. Louis.

Bodhi Grey (b. 1992) is a visual artist who seeks to expand perspectives surrounding forgotten frontiers and wilds around the world. While Bodhi has always admired the natural beauty that exists in the world around him, he also has appreciation for what often remains unseen. Much of Bodhi’s experimental new media seeks to explore the vibrations in nature that create harmony in the world – and may one day lead to the exploration of new realities. Bodhi is currently working to complete The Grey Path – a two part series that explores the beauty of lands now forgotten, and the possibilities of realms still waiting to be discovered.

The Grey Series

On October 18th, 2017, ‘The Grey Path’ was debuted at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel in a solo exhibition. The show consisted of seven images that told the stories of forgotten wilds in the Americas and the United Kingdom.

The show will be on display for the remainder of the month. Admission is free to the public.

Bodhi expects to have a part II to ‘The Grey Path’ series that he hopes to display in the upcoming months. ‘The Grey Path: Part II’ will explore more of Bodhi’s perspectives on the hidden subjects in nature and realms that have yet to be discovered. When both parts are displayed together, ‘The Grey Path’ series will seek to show the balance between nature that has been forgotten by man and incredible possibilities that are still awaiting exploration.
